For the launch of Disney’s live-action Aladdin, we were tasked with conceiving and executing a breakthrough promotion tied to the NBA Finals — one of the biggest stages in sports. The challenge was to seamlessly merge two cultural powerhouses in a way that felt authentic, cinematic, and unmissable. Our answer: “Court of Wonder.”
To bridge the worlds of the NBA and Agrabah, we partnered with Finals MVP and global icon Steph Curry — an athlete whose on-court brilliance already feels like real-life magic. Centering the campaign around Curry allowed us to create a natural, charismatic connection point between the intensity of the Finals and the spectacle of Aladdin.
We developed a three-part narrative arc that unfolded during the Finals, blending live-action storytelling with advanced visual effects that infused the NBA environment with the wonder and visual language of the film. From custom graphics to magical transitions, we transformed the hardwood into a stage where basketball and fantasy collided — elevating the promotion beyond a traditional sponsorship into a fully realized story experience.
Shot on location at Oracle Arena, the entire production was executed in under four hours with talent, requiring precise planning, rapid deployment, and flawless integration of VFX in post. The result was a high-impact, culturally resonant campaign that delivered scale, speed, and spectacle at the height of the NBA season.
